Double offer sheet TB BOTH ACCEPTED

Description
This isn't likely to happen, since GM's don't typically offer sheet. But if any GM was going to do it, I could see Dubas doing it, especially to a division rival.
There's no way Tampa could match both with their cap situation, so your likelihood of getting at least one would be extremely high.
It would be dependant on the Leafs getting their 3rd rounder back from LA first, and they'd have to dump more salary if both accepted.
And of course both players would actually have to agree to sign the offer sheets, which is far from guaranteed.

Bad news for you Tampa can match the Cireli contract easily and would instantly and because of the 10% off season overage they can also match the Cernak offersheet and move someone before the season starts.

Huh? Dubas is the LAST gm I could see doing an offer sheet lol

Also those aren’t threatening enough for Tampa to not just instantly match and work out the details later, and it’s tough to even consider when you don’t currently own all the necessary picks right now

Maybe... but moving other salary won't be easy because of the flat cap and the fact that most of their big salary players have at least some form of trade protection.
Either way, even if they do match both, from a Leafs perspective, you haven't lost anything and you've forced a division rival to pay more than they may have planned and weaken their team elsewhere.

Curious why you think that?
Dubas has shown that he doesn't really care about the "norms" in the NHL or what other people think.
I don't see him having a problem going against the old school GM code on offer sheets, as long as he sees good value on it.

Any of the large contacts could just agree to waive to be sent to the Panthers who are likely to need to replace at least one if not both Dadanov and Hoffman

Sure, they could... but would you want to leave Tampa Bay to play for the Panthers?
Also, Florida's owner has apparently mandated they cut a ton of salary, not add expensive players.

Fair... if you can agree to a trade for similar value, then you do it.

They may very well have but that doesn't mean they will pass up on a quality player like Killorn just cause he has a 5 Mil contract

Seems to this illusion that offer sheets HAVE to be signed by the player. Lots of teams are in a cap position to offer players more $$$ than the Leafs can.

Of course... that's why I addressed this upfront in the description.

Dubas is the kind of guy that likes to please everybody. It’s why he’s not the greatest negotiator as far as contracts go, and why he always takes media heat (he takes the blame cuz he’s always apologizing). It takes a real hardass who doesn’t care to do an offer sheet these days. Bergevin and like, Rutherford (who is old enough to not care, already in the HHOF) are the only guys I could see pulling off an actual offer sheet. Maybe Wilson cuz he’s desperate

Going to have to agree to disagree here...

If Dubas was the type to try to please everybody, he would spend more on "toughness" and "grit" like many have been clamouring for, rather than loading up on expensive top end skill up front.
Dubas is definitely a "players' GM" in terms of defending his team in the media, etc., but in terms of building the roster, I think he is the furthest thing from trying to "please everyone".

Wait a minute. You make two offer sheets when you can't afford both? How does that work?
