Fantastic. I never could get past his name, and you want to trade Holl (hole) with him? Let’s just sign Dustin Penner out of retirement and bring back Tyler Ennis so they can play on a line together. 😆

I'm not a Leafs fan so I don't know what he did to you guys but I take Nylander's salary per point ratio every day of the week, and weekend too wink Seriously, Marner contract is awful. For the same price you can have Nylander and a decent top 4 defenseman.

Probably but with Marner and Laine, WIN could be more attractive and sign some top UFAs (or even decent ones) since nobody wants to go play there if they have the choice hahaha

I’m not sure lack of talent is the problem for Winnipeg. It’s the weather and nothing can chance that plain and simple. The city itself is nicer than many citys in the nhl and the people are definitely some of the best. The city just isn’t nice enough to make up for living in -25 degrees for most of the season. Same issue with edmonton. They also have a little trouble attracting free agents but it’s a slightly nicer city than Winnipeg so they manage, not that Winnipeg doesn’t either. However my point is that adding marner instead of ehlers won’t do anything

Except holl is better than montour, and his contract isn't bad, especially weighing against the 4 mill that montour will get with his qualifying offer

If Montour is terrible, then Holl belongs to AHL haha
Holl is a cone in its territory and can't produce offensively (with the firepower of TOR, he should be stacking assists...)
Put Montour on a good offensive team with a reliable partner as Muzzin, he'd be thriving.

PS : I didn't know Leafs fanboys were all over Holl lol

What a weird take away from me saying holl was meh. Holl is an ok 4-5 defender that put up mid to high 20 points with no power play time and decent defensive numbers.
Montour put up similar offense while getting power play time and getting slaughtered defensively. And he makes near twice as much as holl and will make even more next year.

Do some research

Come on, stop being a fanboy
Holl is 6-7 on any team with a decent D group while Montour is top 4
Thats the salary difference between a 3rd pair and 2nd pair dman

Keep him if you want, name him captain and rename the Scotiabank the Holl Center lol

Wow, the projection is amazing. I tell you holl is just ok and you go pretending i think hes amazing.
And no, montour is not a top 4 guy he really isnt. Hes abysmal and i bet you cant find a single shred of evidence to show me hes better than holl, let alone a top 4 defender

Edmonton is NOT a nicer city than Winnipeg! And try -35 or -50 with the windchill!

Qualifying offer rules have changed under the new CBA. There is no longer the mandatory 10% raise, now any player making at least $1 million the qualifying offer is his previous salary. Would he sign it? He might not want to, but if that’s the only thing he’s getting he’s signing it.

They are similar. I think the quality of roads puts edmonton ahead. Pretty much the only reason. Also yeah, the windchill is baaaaaaad lol
