I don’t think this team is any better than if the Avs do nothing and are healthy.

Markstrom > Francouz
Girg > JTC

It’s mostly an exercise to fit in some needs 1G, vet D and 3C and see how we are doing cap wise.

Trades are just to shed salary, forget the exact assets we get back.

Bottom line, it’s going to be a struggle to adress needs and fit the cap.

Maybe if that pick is your own 2nd as opposed to SJ’s there’s a starting point. Or if you really want 34th overall include Grubauer and SJ adds another smaller asset.

Compher’s underlying numbers have been horrific the past two years. His counting stats have been okay, but his underlying numbers show he’s a beneficiary of great teammates and not someone driving play.

Add a small asset and COL adds a Grubauer surely you jest. I agree Compher doesn’t get SJS 2nd but COL sending Grubauer and Compher is worth significantly more than the 34th overall, SIGNIFICANTLY.

Doesn't burying Francouz mean that he needs to pass through waivers? Meaning that we could lose him for nothing. I wouldn't take that risk.

Compher is an all situation 3c, kap is a 2w. Their values shouldn’t be that far off that’s my point, over paying a 1st and a prospect...value should be 2nd and a prospect as fair comp

Just because Rutherford overpaid like an absolute moron for Kapanen, doesn't mean other GM's will do the same for Compher. The COL 2nd and an decent prospect is the absolute most anyone should be paying for him in my opinion
