Maybe you’d actually have a point if the isles had more cap space, but they don’t and the 3 RFA are the priority. If the depth UFA don’t take a discount, they’ll walk.

Unless ladd and boychuk both go on LTIR, they will have no room to pay any depth players and will have to fill all of their vacant spots with players on ELC, unless like i said, they take a discount. Greene wants to stay local so it is very possible he does take a discount if Nj doesn’t offer him a contract. Martin is gone either way.

I think the Buffalo trade is a good one. I also think they would be interested in Wilde if NJ isn't but not at the cost of Boychuk.
