What do u think bout Yaroslav Askarov?
Any chance the Wild go for a potential franchise goalie? Or is the center position a higher priority?

I think there is a very good chance they take Askarov at #9 and I would be on board with it too...depending on who is available.

Ah, just looking at how the board could play out good chance it would be between Askarov and Lundell at 9. Was wondering who would be the more likely selection here

Korpisalo had a good run in the Playoffs, other than that he's been nothing special. He could be a fools gold type of addition.

I don't see either of CBJs goalies as being more than Kähkönen could/should/will be.

Personally I think both Korpi & Elvis will be great. They are both mid 20's and on favorable contracts...either would be a good option.
I would rather keep Korpi...he has been with Columbus for many years now, he sat in the backup position for a long time, and improved his game to the point that he is now worthy of the #1 spot.
Elvis is very highly touted (and I think the Jacket's management favors him more, just based on his contract value over Korpi's).
However, I think Elvis can be a bit of a hothead, and it shows when things do not go well.
Jacket's probably would not be interested in making a 10-12 player deal.
They would be more interested in trading a goalie and maybe Anderson or Wennberg, and getting mostly picks back in return, and maybe a serviceable backup G and/or prospect in return.

As a Wild fan I prefer Korpisalo he is atleast average in regular season and raises his game in the playoffs, which I think is important.
Looking at Columbus they need a #2 center and a game breaker type talent so unless Wild want to move Fiala, JEE, Kaprizov, or some very nice picks I doubt Jarmo is willing to do business with the Wild, I've also heard Jarmo is a extremely tough negotiator so no matter what if Wild do business with Blue Jackets it's not going to look like a win right away.
Final thought I wonder if they would be interested in Greenway, Torts is exactly the kind of coach that kid needs.

If they were still at 12, maybe. At 9? I don't see it at all.

IF they believe he is an all-world goalie prospect like many do, they should.
