Johnson to WAS

Description
Problems are Johnson and Couburn have NTCs. Couburn doesn't really play much in Tampa unless there's an injury so he's an expensive healthy scratch and we don't really need him. Killorn grew up in Quebec so Montreal would probably be one of the teams that is not on his do not trade list.

Shattenkirk was awesome this year, he isn't as fast as he used to be but he's depended on heavily on this team as a locker room guy and a guy that can play up and down the lineup. I'd want him back, but he'd probably get higher offers from other teams so I don't know how realistic it would be for us to keep him. If not, we can bring back maybe Bogo or keep Couburn and move Sergachev to the right side (which was talked about being the plan when he was brought in but hasn't really happened yet)

He's from the Washington State, not from the Washington city.

Big difference there.

Seattle will be looking for good value in their players not looking at their birth certificate. Washington just might prefer the 2.75m Hagelin over the 5m Johnson.

Actually Killorn has a modified NTC. But he can manipulate it that teams with cap are on his no trade list. I can't imagine Tampa players willingly leaving a good team in Tampa. NTCs aren't falling on the cap sword. It's the RFAs that will be moved.

I don't think it's a Canada thing at all. If Killorn wants to stay with cap strapped Tampa, he could would put list cap strapped teams...such as the Leafs that likely couldn't obtain him without trading cap back to Tampa. "Lousy" teams that likely have cap are probably are on his NT list. Maybe middling Montreal because they do if cap might be on his NT list

True, though nothing stop's a three-way trade from being made to have a cap-strapped team like Toronto shift some salary to another team to bring on a player they fill can contribute more.

I was viewing it more as a "I don't feel like dealing with snow" aspect.... which is definitely an appeal of playing in the south.
