In regards to the combine testing policy, the Coyotes are losing their 2nd round pick this year and 1st round pick next year.

Pretty wow punishment. They won't pick until the 4th round this year and next year.

its a big punishment but its fitting due to how big of an advantage they would have gotten in the draft. Due to COVID every other team wouldnt have had the same sort of fitness information for each prospect going into the draft

Really bad move by the Coyotes ... I think it's a bit too harsh. They should have maybe had them lose the 2nd and move the 1st to the bottom of the round IMO.

Is there any possible connection between this incident and the former gm's abrupt resignation? Did he see this coming? This organization has been horribly mismanaged over the last year or so. Maxed out cap with nothing to show.

If they had won a round and extended Hall they would've had to send the 2021 pick to NJD. I wonder how that would've worked.

Yeah. But he's leaving so it won't matter. Generally not good for a rebuilding team to have high draft picks to go along with max cap

It doesn’t make sense for either side for him to stay. Hall isn’t a player that can lead the team to success as their best player, and the Coyotes can’t win the way they’re currently constructed. And Hall obviously wants to play somewhere where he has a chance at winning.
