they should be desperate to move couture for good value before it falls apart. the massive money they have tied up in aging players is fairly remarkable and they should look to retool as much as they can as soon as they can.

Move the pick up to this years draft, and drop pilot. We could throw in a pick going the other way as well. We’d much prefer to have this years pick as opposed to next years.

Ehhhhh I doubt Buffalo is giving up that pick unless its for a younger guy on a more team friendly deal. Frankly I don't think Couture is worth that much given his contract and age.

Yeah but you're also asking the Sharks to take on Okposo's cap dump. It's shorter than Couture's contract, sure, but at the end of the day, we only gain 2 million in cap space and we get rid of our captain for an aging guy who hasn't shown shades of his former self in years. Mittelstadt is a nice add, but the possibility of him being a bust is a bit scary and more likely to happen than I'd like. And quite honestly we have very little need for Pilut.
