People say Johnsson has no value cause he struggled this season and then suffered basically a season ending injury... but when Pesce's numbers were down all around and he suffered a season ending shoulder injury apparently his value increases? ... any ask of Nylander in a Pesce deal gets shot down immediately by Toronto. Start it with Kapanen and a deal can be worked out maybe

"Reports" mean nothing. It's writers having speculations. Like I said, Pesce's numbers were down this year. I also said to "start it with Kapanen", not that Kapanen is worth Pesce straight up. But Pesce is overrated on this site. Look at his stats.

Kapanen doesn't provide anything the Canes need. We have no reason to trade a dman and if we did, we have 3 defenseman we'd move before Pesce. He's a young RHD who plays the best defense of anyone on the team not named Slavin AND he is locked in on an amazing contract. if it starts with Kapanen, Canes hold and Toronto can find the cost-controlled defense that they need so desperately somewhere else.

And he didn't even struggle he just was snake bitten goal wise. Still was on pace for 40 points and if he got hot could have pushed 50. It's just the usual anti leaf bias on here. Pesce is the most overrated player on this site. He's just another Mike Komisarek.
