If you buyout Jones, the answer isn't to massively overpay for Anderson who will probably walk in a year. I would keep Labanc and Dahlen and that 2nd, sign Greiss in FA for much cheaper. Save cap, save assets.

With Chaisson, I'd rather pay Leivo that same amount of money in FA and not have to give up a 4th for him.

And I highly doubt Montreal bites on that either. Everyone knows Vlasic's contract is bad and I think Montreal would want more back. I feel like it's not that far off value wise but MTL fans will rip you a new one for that...

I respect that, myself not being a huge sharks fan I only decided to make this armchair team because I had two trades with the sharks on prior teams I’ve made. I feel Andersen can possibly turn around the sharks on a deeper d-core, with a more stable backup in Dell as well. As for Chiasson, being an oilers fan it was rumoured sharks were one of the front runners for Chiasson the deadline, and in FA before we resigned in on July 1. Vlasic trade im so-so on, but as for Claesson on the top pairing it’s simply Karlsson chemistry, he’ll likely spend most of his time in the press box or playing for the barracuda if that chemistry from Ottawa doesn’t translate over
