maybe in a regular draft year we trade away 13 OA. I dont think we do it this year. Also we are going to need Suzuki and the 13OA to provide that cheap depth to the squad in 2 years as our roster gets real expensive.

You’re definitely losing the Boeser trade. Need an established top 4 d man coming back. Might wanna try Colorado or Boston or at least a better deal from Carolina.

Fleury has been that guy since January. Canes would feel more inclined to do it if we included one of our bigger contract LHD.

Tough part would be the lack of cap space on Vancouver’s end with them leading to league room for Hughes and Pettersson extensions.

i understand that. Adding Boeser would be great but we arent in a great spot to sell off a ton of futures when our roster will getting expensive around the same time as Vancouver. I would bet we would pursue roster for roster deals.

Oh no I totally get that. And take this from a Rangers fan, managing the cap is never fun and can screw you over if not careful.

I think this would have to at least be considered by VAN, especially if they like Suzuki as a prospect. Besides getting a solid Dman and good futures, Dzingel could easily be flipped to another team and VAN could then re-sign Toffoli if they wanted.

VAN would rather keep both Boeser and Virtanen.
