You could offer a 2nd and I'd still reject.

I'm one of the few Jets fans that'd be okay with that Ristolainen trade but those picks have to be spread over two drafts, minor detail but it matters.

I agree, at that price it’s not a bad deal for the jets. That’s said, considering we only have 4 picks this year, I would change the 2020 5th to a 2021 5th

Agreed the only way CBJ move this player is for a severe overpay and this is not that

My thoughts as well, I like DeMelo but is he really a top pairing guy? He's smallish too and the Jets D is already too small plus Pionk is only so so on the PP, gotta think Ristolainen would be better on the PP then Pionk is.
I wouldn't trade Roslovic for Ristolainen which is common on here though I'm willing to deal Roslovic as I think he'll never take a step due to Maurice but I'd rather deal Roslo in a bigger trade for someone with more long term value, I doubt the Sabres would trade Ristolainen for this though, I really don't think he's as bad as he's made out to be by the fancy stat crowd.

Yeah, we're not moving Bjorkstrand for anything that even looks fair, and this doesn't even manage that bare minimum.

This is a decent offer for Anderson.... Bjorkstrand on the other hand would be a lot more.

I agree. If we can get ristolainen for this price, I would sign Edmundson and let demelo move on. A d corps of:
JoMo-pionk
Edmundson-risto
Heinola-poolman
This is a very good d-corps imo. Adding size in ristolainen also allows the jets to move around their pairings.

I think demelo can play top pairing minutes, however I just think that the jets need to bring back size on the backend. Ristolainen also has that hard shot the power play is lacking with pionk as qb.

I also agree on Roslovic. I wouldn’t move him for ristolainen but considering that maurice will likely never play him at c, maybe packaging him for a long term rd or 2c solution is our best bet. However, if Roslovic keeps playing like he did this playoffs, he will get his chance at c in no time imo. Say what you will about maurice, but if a player proves himself to be capable of more, maurice gives him a shot.

Totally agree but I'd put Risto on the top pair with Morrissey and put Edmunson with Pionk, some size on both pairings.

You liked Roslovic's playin? I thought he was fine but I've heard some complaints from the local media about him.. Lol

Montour is not worth a 2nd. Counter offer would be a 4th round pick and a 5th round pick

The Jets don't have a need for Risto and his cap hit is too high. The Jets wouldn't have any interest in that deal IMO.

Loved his playin. He looked more than ready to play center. In fact, I think he will be ready for 2c by Christmas at this rate

I think that JoMo and pionk play really well together and size isn’t an issue for them when they are together since they play bigger than they are

I double agree. RIsto is a nice add for the jets, but I wouldn't give up any more than this

I'd be willing to go a bit better then the 5th, like maybe a B-prospect or an earlier pick but then I think I'd want a late round pick coming back to the Jets, really don't think Ristolainen is traded for this little though.

Hope you're right about Roslovic, he gets a fair bit of criticism and maybe some of its justified but the way he's been shuffled around the lineup and Maurice shafting him for ice time in the 18-19 season idk wtf people expect, some of the local media talking heads(and some fans) are just morons though, their complete lack of context is astounding.. Lol... Have heard them argue and defend certain guys and then in a round about way at a later date say that same player they defended is part of the problem, makes no sense!

Idk, after watching them both get pummeled by Bennett who's listed as not much bigger then either of them has me pretty firmly thinking they both need a bigger D partner.

Bennet is a truck. Not many players hit harder than him in the nhl. So establishing him as the rule isn’t accurate imo. The two handled all the flames’ other forwards well imo (even lucic and tkachuk). They also drive play at an incredible rate when they are paired together. Imo, size isn’t normally a problem for both.

Yeah, sometimes Maurice’s usage of young players is astounding (and not in good way). That said, he’s still better than many other players and you have to admit that before this season, Roslovic didn't really probe himself to deserve more minutes. I’m not saying that maurice handled him great, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as most think. What was he supposed to do? Play more effective players ahead of him when we were competing?. Yes he could have found a few more minutes per night but as I said, his usage wasn’t awful per say.

As for what I see in Roslovic, I’ve been saying the same thing since day 1, and I still stand by it. That said, I’m not sure it will be with Winnipeg. He is running out of time to burst out of that 3rw bubble. However, I think he will have a centre role if little does indeed retire (sounds more likely than I previously thought). Hopefully he can use that. However, I don’t see him stepping into the 2c role immediately and flourishing either. Probably see him get used to centre for a quite a while before he can play 2c

Whether he plays centre or wing however, he’s someone I want on the jets long term. Imo he isn’t even close to his potential. The guy is oozing with offensive potential so I don’t think a 70 pt winger is out of reach (ceiling)

I completely agree about the morons.
