Winnipeg, or any other team for that matter, isn't giving you a positive asset for a cap dump like Bjugstad. You'd need to pay to make him go away.

He’s not Jack Johnson. He’s a good player. He just doesn’t fit with PIT anymore. He’s perfect to WPG identity.

Cap dumps aren't a fit with any team. Sorry Winnipeg would have no interest.

Sorry, he's not a good player and he's coming off spinal surgery. The Jets don't have an extra $4.1 of cap space to waste on him. If he's such a good player, hang onto him and move some of your other deadweight.

He has all positive possession metrics. He’s decent offensively (except for this past season when he was completely out of PIT’s speed system.) Positive expected goals for differential. Essentially 50% on face offs. Averages approximately 30ish points a season. So yes he’s still a good player. He just doesn’t fit PIT’s speed game.

The habs only do this if Jarvis and one of Holloway/Mercer are available at 15th & 16th.

Okay, good for him. Still no interest in a guy coming off spinal injury, making $4.1 and only playing 30 games max a season.

as for the Habs trade.... id do Domi for 15OA straight up. I think Domi's value is a mid first. Sabres fans weren't trading their top 10 pick for him, but id be willing to move 15OA

I wouldn’t do it if they aren’t available, because I don’t really like anyone after that other than Guhle, although Guhle is a LHD, so that isn’t ideal.

What about Lapierre? Local boy that speaks french, high upside, nice gamble for a team with back to back firsts.

I wouldn’t touch him. He’s everything the habs don’t need: a centre, a playmaker, and he can’t score goals. And his injuries are extremely worrying. I wouldn’t touch him until the late 2nd.

I wouldn’t even trade the 15 OA for Domi straight up. If we wouldn’t give it for Zucker, I don’t think you can give it for Domi either. The pens can use that for so much better. Like restocking their cupboard of prospects. I think they are hoping Schneider falls into our lap at 15. I know I am lol.

Lapierre is a high risk high reward prospect. he was right behind Laf in terms of development before injuries hit him. he could either be a bust or an elite 1C. I would love Pens to take the gamble on him. hes extremely skilled

I don't think Bergevin will be looking at acquiring more picks. If anything he'll be looking at combining picks to move up. Habs have so many prospects in the system already and not enough time and contract space to keep them all. Heck they already had to let go of McShane, Fonstad, and Houde where they would of surely signed them if they had the contract space.

If 15th overall were to be offered for Domi straight up, I'm not sure they take it. If they do then 100% they'd be looking at moving it or their other 1st to try and move up further.

Even watching video on him before the injuries, I don’t see it. Sure he’s a good playmaker, but he isn’t anything really special. Without his injuries I’d probably put him around the same place as a Tyson Foerster or a little lower than a Jacob Perreault. He has one good skill, but his goal scoring is just horrible, and I don’t see him as an elite player. With the injuries, I don’t touch him until at least a whole round after where I would normally have him. IMO his ceiling is a playmaking 2C that scores 10 or fewer goals each year. But I’d say it’s extremely unlikely that he reaches that.

I completely disagree. Before this year he was projected as a top 5 pick. If he can hit his stride and be healthy, the sky is the limit for this kid.

I know that some people said that he is a top talent in the draft, but I just don’t see it. Joe Veleno was also projected as a top 5 talent a year before his draft, but that obviously has been proven incorrect. And Tim Stützle wasn’t in most people’s top 20s a year ago. I think that people are overrating him because he had one good tournament at the Hlinka-Gretzky.

Not at that price Domi isn't.

Not that I want him anyway. The last thing this team needs is another 5'10 winger.

I'm taking it you never watched Stutzle play.
People are high on him because his speed is incredible. He's Barzal 2.0. He has straight line speed. He has quick feet and and good start and stop speed.
He's a guy you drop in the middle of the ice and he breaks all hell lose because he can cover so much ground. He's easily gonna be a top 10 guy speed wise in the NHL when he gets here. He also has a pro level shot.
You could put him on like 80% of the teams in the league and he'd instantly be the fastest guy on the team.
