It's pretty bad, Pulju still has loads of talent/potential and Bear is already a solid top 4 dman, he's going to be very good. McCann was a scratch and while I think Murray is good, he has lost his job for extended stretches in back to back years to two different guys lol

Yeah, but Puljujarvi never plans on signing with the Oilers so has very little trade value.

We can debate about jp value however I wouldn’t look at that too closely because of bear. At one point in time I was open to moving him but the play in round was a perfect reminder how amazing he is at break out passes and that fits the systems Edmonton has been deploying to a tee. Maybe Bouchard can contend with him but I don’t think a single other d on the team is remotely close to bear in that aspect. Personally I don’t think holland could justify moving him under just about any circumstance.

The Ottawa trade is terrible. I understand we are clearing space, but people need to get out of this crap mentality that JR is in. Stop emptying every good prospect and pick to maybe win a cup. Hallander is going to be a top six center/wing and could even be on the Pens next season. Unless you all have some "in" with Ottawa and just give them all of our good players. We already lost Gustavsson.....

We don’t know that. Since this all started one week things look positive the next week not soo much then positive only Holland and jp know for sure but one thing I will point out jp never once said he wasn’t open to coming back he never once spoke poorly of the team or players. So far things have went exactly as I’ve been predicting. Wasn’t a chance he was coming back during the season made no sense for him made no sense for the team. Because of the late start to next season it as fully expected he would sign another one year deal in Finland to get playing sooner that’s something Holland even would push for. Extremely unlikely he will sign any deal until dates for next season become Available. If I was in his shoes I wouldn’t sign a deal without knowing when I would have to leave the country fly half way across the world I’d want more info presented before committing.

That’s completely wrong. Puljujarvi said that he is thinking about signing with Edmonton to give us another chance maybe next year. Now in the interview he said “never say never” to coming back. Which almost means that he is coming back next year if you get your facts straight.

Kylington is not being traded for a 4th.

Why tf would Seattle take Hornqvist?

This seems like a pretty hot take honestly. My view is that Hallander MIGHT be a middle six winger or bottom 6 centre in 2 years if he stays healthy. He's one of Pittsburgh's best prospects but that's saying very little considering Pittsburgh has the shallowest prospect pool in the league apart from San Jose (and he's not close to the best Pens prospect, he's maybe 3rd best? 4th?). From what I've read on him, he needs to develop more of an offensive side to his game in Sweden next season, and then likely needs a year of AHL conditioning before trying to jump into the NHL. Good prospect, not great prospect. The Pens likely take much more value from the 3.25mil cap room now than Hallander will provide before the end of the Crosby/Malkin era

Problem is the Crosby/Malkin era is over and we need to be able to at least compete once they are truly gone.
