I see it being a multi team trade (similar to how the Lehner one worked)

The leafs get a young goalie with playoff experience who is an RFA and thus can be locked up for longer, while moving an older Andersen who is a UFA next year and is 3-7 in series clinching games.

Pittsburgh would get the picks and prospects for Andersen, since they are planning to run with Jarry and DeSmith.

Andersen would go to the third team (potentially someone like Vegas, Chicago, Detroit or NJ)

All seems very complicated when they could just skip the middle man and trade Murray for picks and/or prospects...Very much a made up Kypreos rumor.

Well if that’s the case, then I can see the deal making sense especially for TOR.

Right?! And then basically you’d see something like the Lehner trade this year where Andersen never plays for Pittsburgh (Lehner was on the leafs for 5 mins) and will go to another team while Pittsburgh gets the better haul from Andersen (Andersen is worth just a tad more than murray rn I think)
