I'm all for trading Roslovic now, not cause I don't think the kid is a great player but cause I know with Maurice as a coach he'll just never take the next step, honestly think he'd look great on a line with Connor and Scheifele and the best place for Wheeler is 3rd line RW but that'll never happen, that being said I wouldn't trade him for this, need to extract some longer term value out of assets dealt which he still is, have said it before but a team based in Winnipeg shouldn't be trading good assets for rentals.

Imo pionk = Dumba, Stanley = foligno, and Roslovic = staal. So the first is unnecessary. I very much like this trade though for both sides. The jets get their stopgap 2c, and pp qb with a harder shot, and add some grit in foligno. Just not sure staal is the 2c we need

My favourite part is dumba for pionk. That could work out spectacularly for both teams and both players go closer to home. Minnesota gets a slightly younger player while WPG gets the hard shot that the pp1 needs

What in particular makes this dumb? I honestly think this trade is a no go from both sides. Brodin likely doesn’t resign here so no from wpg and MIN probably wants to move brodin where he’ll resign so they get more or just resign him themselves lol.

As for the other trade being talked about I’m not sure it’s great. I think dumba still is better than pionk, but he hasn’t looked amazing since injury and Pionk is younger. I’d likely say that Dumba is worth Pionk + 3rd + prospect. I’d also say that foligno is worth Stanley. But roslovic imo has more value than staal. Only because of his age, potential and team control. I honestly think to get MIN to accept that trade. It would have to be Pionk+Roslovic+Stanley+B prospect (take your pick) + 3rd. I think a first is too much but I think trading each one for one doesn’t make much sense either.

For this to work we would want one of your three top wingers. Ehlers/Laine/Connor if we were to send Dumba your way, so scrap Pionk and Roslovic to start off with. What Minnesota needs is high-end impact finshers, especially if Dumba's not going for a top six center.

Additionally even if we send Dumba to the Jets, we don't need a defenseman coming back to replace him. We are absolutely stacked on depth for RD. We still have Belpedio and Menell who are still looking to break into the lineup because they've been blocked to date. We also have Soucy, who will likely take Dumba's spot in the lineup until Addison is ready. Addison, who we acquired in the Zucker trade, looks to be a stud and is easily Dumba's replacement in a couple of years.

In your opinion what would it cost for any one of Ehlers, Laine, or Connor?

Honestly, it would cost a lot. Like ehlers is likely the cheapest, but You’d have to pry him off of the jets. Also considering it’s an inter divisional trade, it would cost more. Likely too much for the wild, like dumba + a prospect + roster forward.

TBH, I personally like Ehlers over Conner. I think he would make for a better fit on the wild roster than Connor would. Ehlers and Fiala would make for an amazing top line duo for us.

My dream wish would of course be Laine. A RHS who prefers the LW paired with the LHS Fiala who plays RW for us could be devastating.

I think Dumba 1v1 for Ehlers would be fair, but given the nature and needs of our two teams, your right about the overpay. I suppose I would be comfortable with something like Dumba, Greenway/Donato, plus one of Belpedio/Menell for Ehlers.

Honestly, ehlers is my favourite out of Laine/Connor/ehlers. I’d like to move Laine before him, but yeah you’re right that due to team needs there would be an overpay. I like Dumba + Greenway + Menell for ehlers.

Yeah no I don’t think so, only because in a Laine deal, they’d be looking for much more because of his goal scoring prowess and the fact he’s a face of the franchise. In a Laine deal wpg would be looking for a top 4 RHD + top C prospect and 1st. Like a Laine for Pesce + Necas + 1st. That’s like the base of a Laine deal. If MIN got Laine and paired him with fiala and a true 1C he’d score 50+ goals every year.

So basically something like Dumba, Khovanov + a 1st. Would the Pittsburgh's 1st from next year do the trick? Or would it have to be our 1st from this year's draft?

2020 1st as 2021 draft is supposed to be a lot weaker than this one. Also, Jets need a top C prospect really bad, so unless Khovanov is a lock to be a top 6 C then it’s a no go. Also imo, dumba hasn’t been overly amazing since returning for injury, so I’m not sure wpg would be interested in a Laine deal for him. Also there’s almost 0 chance they move him in the division. Only way wild get him is if they offer Dumba + Boldy + 2020 1st.

I wondered if it was too much. I didn't want to under value Brodin, so I tried to guess high.
