Description

Stars REALLY need help in the offense department. Their defense is really coming around. How's about a good old fashioned hockey trade?

Edit: Also, every single one of these players on defense would be under contract for the same cap hit in 2021-2022. If it works tolerably well you don't have to change a thing for 2 seasons.

Maybe not but you'd still need help on defense without switching any of the cap dollars from O to D.

Seguin/Klingberg for Marner/Nylander/Pick.

Pick included as a courtesy for taking Marner who most seem to dislike.

I do agree that would be a place to begin though.

Yea, I thought about crafting some more trades among the forwards group to add more grit and tenacity but decided just to propose the one big trade and see where that left us.

Is Liljegren ready for full time NHL work next season? Almost all of these simulations I've seen by Toronto fans has him in the top 6 (maybe out of necessity) but is he ready?

You have to take into account the respective terms. Nylander is signed for FIVE more seasons.
