Yeah I don't think either side has interest in that trade anymore. Leafs need the youth and cap space, and Murphy has been really good for the hawks

Murphy would be a good pickup and Kap is overrated so if we could get him for a 1 for 1 awesome. If we add SDA or something and get retention its way better.

I'm not super high on Murphy. He's a guy I'd like to add, but I wouldn't go crazy for him. Pretty similar to Manson in Anaheim, just with more offensive abilities.

Neither team takes that, Nylander was invisible in the play-in series, I wouldn't want anything to do with overpaying to acquire him.

Nylander is great but he is NOT elite. Elite is Panarin, Crosby, McDavid, Matthews, Ovy, Kane, Mackinnon, etc. Nylander is a good step down from those guys.

I would give up Kap for either of those guys without thinking twice.b

What about Murphy, Strome and a 3rd for Nylander? Helps solve the defense problem on the right and good upgrade to the 3C position over Kerfoot. Cap hit, with bridging Strome, would be close to a wash.

That’s not a bad offer. Not sure if strome would be the player they want. It’s a modest upgrade on kerfoot and the cap would be close to the same.

We'd be taking on Kerfoot mostly as a cap dump, we aren't interested in him so I do know how asking us to include Alex Nylander and a 1st doesn't make sense as the value is pretty far slanted in Toronto's favor. Chicago shouldn't be returning a pick on that deal.
