Staal isn’t retiring and deangelo gets more than 5 mill

Eh for a shorter deal he isn't. He's awesome, but hes an RFA in the territory no team would offer sheet (add more value to that and it'd cost a 1st and a 3rd which the rangers would take and run). Maybe do a 5milx3, but thats basically the ceiling.
And idk what's gonna happen with Staal, but he's not getting bought out and I cant see him on ice for them next year.

I’m pretty sure deangelo has arbitration rights this summer, highly doubt he’d take 5 x 3 when nurse just signed for 5.6 x 2 (nurse isn’t even good)

If staal isn’t getting bought out and he won’t be a regular, then he’ll just be in the roster and take up cap space considering he can’t be sent to the AHL due to his NMC.

With that logic I could just throw boychuk and his 6 mill cap hit on LTIR and isles match this OS.
