I always thought nylander for pesce or pulock made a lot of sense but Carolina and islanders fans always turn those down. Blues fans have no issue turning down the Parayko trade, myself included. Hard to speculate on what his price would be, the consensus is that a young cost-effective 2-way D is worth more than a scoring winger. It's not a dig at Nylander, just a supply-demand thing IMO. Not many teams are saying "my defense is too deep and I could use a winger". Becomes more interesting if you look at teams that may want nylander to play center tho... like Nashville or Minnesota...

The key is finding the team that has the cap and the need, so a younger up an coming team with a 2c opening or a 1rw. A lot of teams that you have here don’t have the need other than a shuffling the deck in Nashville, probably Dallas but they would probably need a 2 for 2 with a lillgren and a forward involved, and possibly buffalo but not 100 percent sure what’s next for buffalo. I’m just saying tough to gauge value if you don’t feel the team has the need.

Marner is the closest and how many 90+ point 23 year olds are out there. Very few and how many teams have trouble scoring? More than there are ones that can score.

A 2nd pair defender making between 4-5 million isn't a sweet deal. It's a fair deal. Also defence didn't cause the Leafs to lose.
