None of the players Colorado receive here have much value to them.

- Drouin is a soft offensive forward who scores at a 3rd line pace and is overpaid at $5.5m.
- Mete is a small LHD who doesn't really fit on the team behind Byram/Girard/Cole/Zadorov.
- A 4th is inconsequential.

Overall the pieces probably do have value to match Graves in a vacuum, but none of the pieces actually fit with Colorado, so it's a no from Colorado.

Fine by me too. I'm more than happy to keep our 25 year old 6'5'' 225lbs smooth-skating Dman who pops up with 10 goals/30 points all at 5v5, and plays heavy PK minutes and is a perfect complement to Makar. Oh and signed to a steal of a contract which will certainly happen given that he's an RFA this summer and only played ~90 NHL games.

Drouin scores at a 3rd line rate in terms of points per 60 at 5v5, and contributes nothing defensively while taking a lot of untimely penalties. At $5.5m I doubt Montreal will get anywhere close to the value fans expect in a trade, so you're better off just keeping him.
