Strong package. I think if NYI is moving Pulock they would want Heinola...

Nothing against the package but the Isles are trying to compete now and not give up players for futures. Not the direction the team is going in.

Pulock is not being moved, he is a core piece for Trotz.

Incredibly weak package. Nelson and Pulock are two of our most important players. We aren't getting significant help back

If one of Connor Ehlers or Laine isn’t included in a pulock package the isles walk

Dude..You get Pionk...Who had 45 points and is only at 3M....you need him rather than a 6M+ Pulock

Its basically Rosy for Nelson is the only drop off and who knows what Roslovic may do within your system.

You’ve never watched an islander game if you think poink has near the value of pulock this isn’t about points pulock is a significantly better all around player from every game I’ve seen and there’s no reason why the islanders would trade their 2C for a 3C it’s relatively fair value w picks considered etc it just doesn’t fit the isles needs at all they only players the need from the jets are top 6 scoring wingers which is why they’d only trade Pulock (who’s not really expendable) for players that are necessities for the team

I did this solely based on NYI not being able to afford everyone...The value is not at 100% but it sure is if you take into consideration the O/S mess that you guys will fall into

They’d make sure pulock wasn’t the causality he has too much importance to the team imo the cap is much more navigable than others believe imo but we shall see

Too much for Winnipeg to give up and Winnipeg should have no interest in paying Nelson into his 30's.

I don't see the ISlanders making that deal. Nelson is really good and Pulock could be their #1 Dman. Islanders don't need to move out any of their main pieces...what they do need to do is shed some salary and deal LEddy, Boychuck, Clutterbuck and Komarov. I would've included Ladd in there but that's gonna be really tough.
I do think there is a market for all these guys, but the Islanders wont get much back.
Leddy or Boychuk to the jets
Clutterbuck and Komarov to any team in need of a vets in their bottom 6 and cap space
Islanders shouldn't care about the return as much as the cap space

Even if you thin kits ok value (Which it isnt), its not a deal the Islanders should make. Mayfield may play over 20 minutes a night but I wouldnt put him on the top pairing. Niether could you put Boychuk(injuries/age) or Dobson(lack of experience). Trading Pulock is not an option the Islanders can entertain this offseason or until Dobson can prove hes ready. The Islanders are better off looking to move Leddy for picks and improve from within.

Islander fans need to stop seeing Pulock as a movable piece.

Read the trade...You get a top pairing guy in Pionk. The only thing he has against him is his size but playing in the East would be fine.

I kind of agree. They might be stuck with Boychuk at his age and contract, but Leddy is only 29 and player 20 per night in a really good system. He has value for sure.
Clutterbuck and Komarov will be tough to move, but like I said above, the team would need to have cap space like the devils or sens.

Not many teams have 5M+ in cap room though...
