Sorry, Rather take 10th overall in a 2015 comparable draft, pretty convinced with Chevys draft record

Id honestly try to move up again so we can pick Raymond.... Maybe 10th and 16th to NJ for 7th and 23rd. They ld still get Sanderson who they need badly and wed get Raymond.

Of course the WPG trade would be made knowing before the draft that MIN is picking Lundell no matter what (or simply if WPG prefers Domi to the 10th pick).

I'd consider it for sure but would have to get one of those 2nds you got as well and not the latest of the three either.

You’re not dropping 30 spots and getting a 2C with the potential to be a 70+ points player. It’s not that easy

If Domi came extended for 6-8 years for 5.5-6M per, then sure...but not as a FA

He’s RFA, you can sign him around 6M long term

Forget it then, the Jets should be at blow it up stage anyway, there's no easy fix to the mess Chevy has gotten himself into.

I like Domi and would've given much more for him before but after watching the Jets get manhandled by Calgary and Domi being put on the 4th line nah, not overpaying for him, he's more of a 50 point player, his 70 point season is likely an outlier, I'd be willing to add something else reasonable to get one of those 2nds though so 10th overall and ? for Domi, 2nd.

If I was trading the 10th overall pick for Domi he'd have to be signing a 7 or 8 year deal.

I think the issue with WPG is they dont need more winger depth, they need a C, and Domi isnt a true C. Maybe they consider it for Danault or a package around that, but probably not Domi

Domi is better at C than winger
If he was a winger Mtl would definitely keep him
He’s playing 4C because he doesn’t want to play winger

Is 72 points seasons he was playing 2C
44 points playing 3C is not bad

ooo didnt know that, I just see everyone put him at winger and assume. I think the Jets have a win now type of roster, so I could see them doing it or something structured around it then

Domi is better at center than winger, but Mtl are stacked at center with Danault Suzuki Kotkaniemi and Domi really want to stay at C so he’s playing on the 4th line to stay center ...

Tbh, I’ll take Jarvis at 10th. Pretty high on him, he can play c and I really think he’ll be one of the best of the draft

I drop down a few spots and then take lapierre. If the jets aren’t convinced that his injury issues are behind him then zary.

I think Chicago does that considering Shaw is coming back. Caggs is a cheaper version of Shaw with a little less talent but not much less IMO. Can slot anywhere in the lineup
