Description
GMs know the Leafs are desperate for a defensive defensemen. They have to trade one of the Top 4. They are not trading, Mathews,Tarvares or Marner because of their cap hits and a flat cap. In this trade Leafs get a Top 4 shutdown defensemen and a winger that puts up 50pts a year who can be reunited with Tarvares. The islanders can a legit top line winger that can put up 30 goals and play along side Barzal. This can entice Barzal to stay on a bridge deal and be paid down the line.

Not happening, find a team willing to give up their Top end Defensemen in a flat cap era. GMs know that Leafs are screwed . Forget about trading Marner because that will never happen in the next two years.

I'm just saying that i can't believe he has been in the league that long. i was looking at the trade and said "hmm Bailey is a pretty young player" then i looked him up and was shocked to see he we 30 years old already and has played over 850 gms.
