Zadorov and Jost net both a 2nd and 3rd each.

You are delusional to think anyone would sign Byfuglien for anything other than league minimum. You are crazy in the first place thinking that he’d be in shape enough to return after a year and a half away from hockey considering he was barely staying in shape while actively playing.

Big fan of Hyman, no need or desire for Holl (Timmins is better) or Engvall (Bowers/Kamenev will be called up)

i'm not so sure zadorov and jost have that value

byfuglien would be a long shot but he doesn't really have to do the heavy lifting.

holl is just a hole filler. he can be traded with a pick for a rental or just kept for depth. he's in the trade mainly to make the money work for the leafs.

engvall is better than bower and kam.

I live in the Toronto market, I’ve watched nearly every leaf game the past 4-5 seasons.

Holl is a downgrade on both Zadorov and Timmins.
Engvall is not nearly as good as you think he is.

Zadorov is a young, big, strong D that consistently leads the league in hits. LH but plays on the right side. Easily slots in a a good 4-5 guy nearly any NHL team right now.

Jost is too young to throw away for just a 2nd. He’s a serviceable 3rd liner with potential to be a 2nd liner.

As for Byfuglien, I stand by my original point. He walked from 7mil this year, doesn’t make sense he’d return for 3mil. Not to mention I can guarantee he’s not in shape. He was barely keeping in shape while actively playing, and by the time next season starts up, he’d been away from the game 18+ months

i've watched a lot of their games too. i like engvall. i think he'd have good chemistry on the 4th line.

zadorov is a lefty and going to be more expensive than holl. timmins could be better in which case it's his role. like i said holl is only a hole filler.

jost doesn't have a place on this team. he's not suitable for the 4th and everyone on the 3rd is miles better

i'd take a chance on buf if he ever wanted to come back. if not just role with makar/holl/timmins and in that case just sign zadorov to his q.o. if he accepts. if needed get a rental at deadline.

Buff isn’t what the Avs need neither is Holl. EJ blocks that.

Montreal passes on Zadorov, value is good we just have no room in our system for another LHD especially not a 2nd pairing guy and With Norlinder, Romanov and Struble in the system Zadorov would be either middle or bottom pairing in less than 2 years

Again, not gunna spend all night going back and fourth on this but I’d even rather have Jost as 4C over Engvall.

(Zadorov) I get we don’t have room/he will be too expensive and has to get moved.

As for Byfulien, there are very few educated COL fans you’ll convince that will think he’s a good option for this COL team next year

jost ruins the chemisty of that line. the guy can't cycle like the rest of them and he's never going to develop playing that style of game for 10 minutes a night. pull the plus if he's not good enough for the 3rd line.
engvall's a reserve forward not 4c.

lots of teams would give buf a shot if all he wanted was a 1 yr contract. avs should be one of them.

I’ll take EJ over BUF who hasn’t played in almost 2 yrs and who knows if he can even skate.
