i'm not so sure zadorov and jost have that value
byfuglien would be a long shot but he doesn't really have to do the heavy lifting.
holl is just a hole filler. he can be traded with a pick for a rental or just kept for depth. he's in the trade mainly to make the money work for the leafs.
engvall is better than bower and kam.
I live in the Toronto market, I’ve watched nearly every leaf game the past 4-5 seasons.
Holl is a downgrade on both Zadorov and Timmins.
Engvall is not nearly as good as you think he is.
Zadorov is a young, big, strong D that consistently leads the league in hits. LH but plays on the right side. Easily slots in a a good 4-5 guy nearly any NHL team right now.
Jost is too young to throw away for just a 2nd. He’s a serviceable 3rd liner with potential to be a 2nd liner.
As for Byfuglien, I stand by my original point. He walked from 7mil this year, doesn’t make sense he’d return for 3mil. Not to mention I can guarantee he’s not in shape. He was barely keeping in shape while actively playing, and by the time next season starts up, he’d been away from the game 18+ months
