I think it actually does. Gives you a replacement for Barrie for a PMD because Leafs likely will not be able to afford him. Gives you a top 9 forward who can play physically, kills penalties and still nets you some goals. It gives you a prospect that is lighting it up right now and has high potential, and another first rounder. Maybe you do not agree with Nylander's valuation and think the Canucks should sacrifice more, but it does help the leafs.

Canucks have no interest in Nylander with Pettersson and Horvat at center ice and they are loaded already on the forward positions.
