Might as well sign edmunson or dillon over hamonic if we need a 2LD. Not a big fan of the risto trade, would rather just have DeMelo and Roslovic.

Yeah Risto has size... but he’s useless so it doesn’t matter. Our goal is to get better defensively not worse

I might take a shot at Patrick, but not until he actually comes back and proves he can play. And stay healthy for a year or so. If we're gambling on him now, I'm not paying that much.

Risto is too expensive for bottom pairing duty and he's not capable of playing higher than that and that is too much money for too long on Hamonic.

Ok I will change my mind and keep Roslovic and sign Edmundson and Hamonic. Keeping Roslovic would take pressure off the Patrick trade for Chevy. Edmundson, Hamonic, and Patrick- all good Manitoba boys.

I don’t mind hammer, just worried about his game falling off. It’s already starting to slip and hes a bit older. I think it just makes sense to spot DeMelo in there but I get why you’d pick Hamonic. Also yes, If you keep roslovic, you immediately take the pressure off of Patrick, if he’s comes back great! If not, it’s not a huge loss as we would’ve likely lost one of Niku or Appleton to Seattle or other trades.

I am not seeing top 4 in Demelo. I think we have a realistic chance in signing Hamonic and if we could get him cheaper and/or shorter term then great. Signing Edmundson is starting to make sense. Edmundson and Hamonic >>>>Kulikov and Demelo

I get that you are trying to buy low on Nolan Patrick, but what's the motivation to move him for that return? Niku is 3rd pairing dman at best and doesn't crack our lineup. and Appleton, at best, dresses on our fourth line. I'd rather have Patrick and hope he can play again than to get two nothings in return.

It will be interesting what Philly will do with Patrick and if the Jets would be interested in getting him. Bottom line is the we all hope he can get healthy and play again.

u dont want Edmonson trust me he is not worth the contract. Dillon would be a good addition in the UFA market. Or if they want to trade Brodin or Montour could also work

I get edmunson isn’t an analytics darling, but when you watch him play playoff hockey he just has a presence about him. He’s built to play playoff hockey, that’s the kind of dman we need. Although dillon might be the better addition for both regular season and playoffs.
