Columbus doesn’t need or want Bonino. We have a 3rd line center.

Another bad Eichel trade

And why is a Stars fan even care enough about Nashville to make a self proclaimed “Unrealistic retooling” lineup?

I like Dallas but I follow all NHL teams to some extent.

And legit in the hypothetical scenario where Eichel gets dealt I don't see BUF garnering much more than this.

Considering he has 6years left on his deal,
the Sabres won’t have to trade him even if he requests it
And it’s gonna take more high end pieces
The best one here is Forsberg, who i like
But Johansen is basically negative value bc of that horrific contract

And if NSH wins the top pick...
an Eichel trade will start with that

Kinda sad for Eichel to be stuck in the dumpster fire for 6 more years

Winning a cup is a different thing.

Managing to get playoffs once in a decade is another.

If you like to think it like that, sure.

At least you guys have longer summer break. Some profit in there.

@justaBoss

First is JustaBoss also BurgerBoss?
Second I love lively conversations. But "Just the facts, ma'am. Just the facts!"

Third, it would take an over payment to pry Jack out of Buffalo now.
Finally, while this is not a bad offer, just the wrong offer.:
Johansen is an OK 2nd line center and will fill a need so he is at least the correct position.
A LHD instead of Fabbro, Buffalo has Ristolainen, Montour, Miller and Jokiharju, another one is not needed.
A RW instead of Forsberg. Buffalo has Skinner, Olofsson, Kahun, Johansson, another LW is not needed
A better prospect than Tolvanen. Buffalo has Thompson, Mittelstadt and Cozens, but needs one better than them.
This years first in addition to next year's first.
So if you can put together an offer that fills the needs of the Sabres, it may be considered. This one does not.
I hope this helps.

Yeah I'm burgerboss. Changed my nick couple of months ago.

While I do agree with this comment of yours, unfortunately I don't see it possible for Preds to step it up due to the fact that they've nothing more to offer - they don't have an RW, LD and better prospect to offer...

So you want something like Johansen, Ekholm, Arvidsson, Tomasino, 2020 1st overall, and a 2021 1st? That goes beyond overpayment. I don't know if even McDavid gets that much in a trade.

No I was thinking more like Duchene, Arvidsson, Josi, Tomasino, 2020 1st overall, and a 2021 1st. LOL.
I was only making the point that the pieces offered do not fit the puzzle.
But your offer is way over the top. I misspoke about Tolvanen he would have been fine in hind site.

You are correct the 2 firsts would be too much.

I wonder what Eichel's stats would be if Murray had drafted Draisaitl instead of Reinhart.
I guess I watch Eichel carry an entire team on his shoulders, he has no one even close to his talent on the roster.
He does not skate into a zone with a lot speed as MacKinnon, McDavid or Matthews, but skates under control, waits for a defensive player (often him on three) to make a twitch then he accelerates around him to get a scoring chance.
He seems to do this nearly once a game. He is a different player from the other three.
Also, he does not have a Tavares, Malkin, Toews, Draisaitl, Pasternak, Rantanen etc to take the pressure off of him, as other great NHL players have.
I maybe over stating his worth, but with out him the Sabres are four players removed from an AHL team.
That is a very sad comment to make after missing the playoffs for so many years.
Murray wasted so much. He had picks, prospects and assets to sell. when he was done the team finished last over all four years later.
So as I said, it would take an over payment to pry him away from the Sabres.

Sweden’s NHLers >>> Finland’s
Winning short tourneys doesn’t impress me much

I mean I have to agree that Sweden produces better D-men than Finland.

But I do believe the quality of our top forwards do exceed theirs. Finnish's TOP5 forwards are Barkov, Aho, Rantanen, Laine and Teräväinen, whereas Sweden's are Zibanejad, Pettersson, Bäckström, Nylander and Forsberg.

And before you say anything about there being more of Swedish players than Finnish ones, It's only natural since Sweden's much bigger country in terms of both size and population. Sweden's population is like 10,2 million, whereas Finland's population is only 5,5 million.

But what does this have to do with anything?

I admittedly took a cheap shot at you bc u did at the Sabres
Bottom line though...
This deal doesn’t get it done for Eichel
I wouldn’t take Johansen & that horrible contract for FREE
He had 36pts this year... ONLY 36!!!

I think I agree that Johansen, Farrance, Arvidsson, Tolvanen, and a 1st is probably in the ballpark for Eichel. Maybe another 1st as well, but NOT 1st overall in 2020. But NSH wouldn't be in on Eichel, so it's a moot point. Another highly paid center is the last thing this team needs. If NSH wins the lottery, I wouldn't trade that pick straight up for Eichel, because an elite winger on an entry level deal is way more valuable to them. I'd expect BUF to reject a 1st overall for Eichel trade, for the same reason.
