IMO Rossi won’t be available at 5, Detroit will nab him

That’s definitely a possibility, but if they don’t Detroit should get him

Pretty decent chance that happens, they may opt for 2-way winger Raymond though and bank on their center prospects developing or repeating and getting Rati next year

They Really should go for Raymond, but I could easily see Rossi or Perfetti, and for Long Shots Jake Sanderstrom. I wouldn’t take Holtz or Drysdale if I were Detroit

I would be very surprised if they take Perfetti, last thing they need is a LW. Rossi makes sense since he is a center though. IMO Raymond is the right choice though

If you take Perfetti that high, you are doing so with the intention of developing him as a center, which scouts think is his more natural position. Zadina can play both wings. As a winger, he can slide in next to Larkin and Mantha, or on the second line with Zadina opposite wing.Detroit is rumored to be very enamored with Cole Perfetti, and he's worthy most years of a top 4 pick. Judging by how Detroit reached for Seider last year, I wouldn't be suprised if they did, and given that he plays up in Saginaw, im sure they have scouted him heavily. I wouldn't be stunned at all.

Perfetti hasnt played center all year, it is very unlikely he plays it in the NHL. Zadina can play both wings but Detroit needs at least 1 right handed shot winger and Raymond is a fantastic option for that. Most of the rumors on Detroit having interest in Perfetti were made up. It was based purely on relations. They have more recently been rumored to be scouting the EU players (Raymond/Holtz).
