Looks good aside from Bonino and Zadorov. Zadorov not really a good enough skater to play in our system (aside from being below replacement level bad this year) and don't think we'd pay a 2nd round + for a rental....

Not a hard fix. For 2 2nds, Hajek + Howden you can A LOT more than Bonino + Zadorov.

I don't see NSH having any interest in Hajek as they already have 2 other LHD in that same age range that I believe they would value higher. And I'm not particularly impressed with anything Howden has done in the past two seasons in the NHL. I don't see this as a package that gets you Bonino, regardless of how you value Bonino I feel that these just aren't the right pieces. A 2nd + prospect would probably be fair value depending on the prospect, but I'm just not convinced that NSH would have interest in these players. Maybe Howden for a mid round pick, but not Hajek.

I highly doubt the Kings will pay a 4th for Staal in any trade, regardless of the prospect added.

2nd isn't nearly enough for Zadorov on it's own unless it's a relatively high 2nd. This offer isn't nearly enough since it's a 2022 pick as well.

2nd + 3rd if the 2nd is late.
2nd + 4th if the 2nd is mid round.
2nd + very minor add if it's early (remove the minor add if it's a high 2nd in 2020).

I've gradually come to realise that Howden, Rykov, and Hayek don't hold a lot of value. They're basically your versions of Kamenev who you throw into any deal to sweeten the pot.

Except Howden can easily be a good offensive 3rd liner haha Kamenev is a 12-13th forward

Howden has literally THE worst CF% and FF% possession stats in the entire league at 5v5 among forwards with over 50 games played. Just a terrible player.

And Hajek has pretty dreadful metrics too, even worse than Howden in some stats.

Needless to say I highly doubt you're getting two solid NHLers by packaging garbage together.

Haha, please... I wasn't born yesterday. I've seen Howden's horrific analytics. And I've also watched the Rangers vs Carolina games. There's a reason why he's included in so many trade proposals on here, because Rangers fans know that he sucks.

As for Kamenev, he has the skating and stickhandling to be a middle 6 C, but he just lacks hockey IQ and that's why he gets lit up with hits so often. Real shame because there's some high end talent there. Maybe it's a confidence thing though and he can turn it around; it isn't easy to get into the league when you keep getting injured in freak injuries every time you get going.

No, it's because we know he'd be a much, MUCH better fit somewhere else.

In a team that fits two categories:
1-needs to be a team that needs an offensive bottom sixer (NSH, DAL, ARI, CGY and some others fit that category)
2-needs to be a team that wouldn't have to play him at C (DAL, ARI, NSH, NJD, CGY and some others fit that category)

So...

Zadorov is actually a really good skater especially for his size
And he was not bad, he actually was very strong defensively 5v5 but you know if you don’t like him you don’t like him but don’t go making up exaggerations

Right.... To a contender. To a team like the Rangers, Someone like Bonino who's a rental puts you in the same exact position of needing a 3C next season.... whereas acquiring any of the equally good 3C's with cost-control prevents that. And the great part is a 2nd and Howden gets you pretty much any 3C. I mean for a 2nd and Howden, that gets you Jost.

It's just poor team management.

Would Howden and a 2nd for Faksa and 2 4ths be good?

Zadorov is fine if you use him right. He's bad at zone coverage, but he's a monster at defending 1v1 in transition, and that's why he's had success primarily against guys like McDavid and Patrick Kane, rather than defending on the cycle.

I wouldn't give up a 2nd for Faksa. You could get Faksa for basically Howden and not much more. I mean in terms of age, metrics, position, in the NHL Brett Howden has basically been Sam Steel.

I'd say Kerfoot is probably a much better option for a 3C. He'd cost a 2nd. Between 2 2nds and Howden you can get Kerfoot and Dermott and be totally set.

Avs are one of the best skating teams in the league and zads has not issues skating with them

Your not a good skater argument is just hog wash, the Rangers are not in a skating class above the avs, so if he’s more than fine on the avs in what world is he not a good enough skater for the rangers
