For Buffalo? They end up with one of the best 1-2 punches in the at C, become a more competitive team, possibly make the playoffs eliminating the immediate worry of Eichel asking to get out... Don't see how there's no point in this for them. They absolutely rob Tampa.

I mean tampa says no, but cozens was just rated the #1 prospect in hockey, and point makes a lot of money in a flat cap league.

Sabres absolutely nake this deal. Middlestadt was rated the # 2 affiliated prospect not yet in the NHL just a few years ago and look how that turned out. I expect things to go much better for Cozens but you never no for sure until they actually play at this level. Point is the sure thing and is at a very reasonable cap number for the kind of player he is. All that being said Tampa doesn't do this unless the Sabres add significantly
