Canucks trades get better and better every day. 1st it was Demko, Ericksson and a 2020 2nd, then it was the same cast and then a 2021 2nd, then it became a 2022 2nd then a 2021 3rd and now you give up a good player and want a 2nd back. How about we add Mantha?

Again Ericksson is an anchor and it is the Canucks anchor. Nobody is going to take it on for free. He has 2 years at 6 million dollar cap hit. The market was set when cap was going up, now that the cap is flat lined the price is more not less.

Marleau, 6 million 1 year a 1st
Backes 6 million one year, retain 1.5 million and a 1st for Kase

See a pattern? Pearson is very good, but he is 27, but not sure he fits in Wings scenario.

thanks for your opinion( now hear it from a canucks fan.Again the canucks will NOT give up a first to get rid of louie.he is not owed 6 million for two years ( please check your facts)we will simply keep him.there are other ways to free up cap by using assets.we gave a first for jt miller (awsome trade)so using that for a valuation for a first, do you think the canucks would trade jt miller with louie?this is strictly my opinion no disrespect intended.

Yes, He is owed less in REAL dollars, I know that, but in CAP dollars he takes up 6 million. So you need to find a team that can afford 6 million in CAP dollars. That will not be easy, there are fewer teams with cap space than there are teams who need to clear cap.

Cap dollars are what counts, not real dollars, unless you can find a team the needs to reach the floor in CAP dollars but pay considerably less in REAL dollars. In that there even fewer teams. Many people on the site real dollars, but the AAV or the average amount of the contract salary is whats used to determine cap money.

Wings need some scoring & keep the puck outta the net. Of course it’s a pattern to insulate the kids for awhile. It’s going to be a few years of more pain.

1 year left on Pearson 2 on Loui. It’s not difficult to make room. Too many AHLers on the roster isn’t helping. Pearson can be flipped at the TDL easily. A young goalie to grow with the team is needed.
