Fabbri would still be a scratch on most playoff teams, he’s better than DLR but I’m not losing sleep over that trade.

Seider played LD a little this past year in Grand Rapids. Drysdale also took Byram’s spot during the WJC and looked good.

I'd rather trade down to 8 or 9 and get something else and draft Sanderson instead of Drysdale. I like Rossi at 4 even if he is a Smurf

Just like last season there aren't many dmen at the top of the draft so you end up with 1 or 2 that are overvalued. There are a lot of dmen at the top of next years draft.

I think there is a lot to like about Drysdale’s game and he isn’t going to wow you with one specific trait. He’s a good transition 2 way D from my viewings so I wouldn’t rule him out. There is three-four guys I like at 4 - Raymond, Perfetti, Drysdale, and Rossi. I’m the highest on Raymond though.

Do you worry about Rossi sticking at center? I think he’s going to be a baller but I like the upside better of Raymond/Perfetti. Some point to Rossi as being topped out since he’s been training/eating like a pro for several years and then you look at Perfetti who looks 12. I’m not buying into that completely but I think Perfetti has a ton of growth development in comparison.

Rossi is undersized, I wouldn't take him 4.
Dry is a top 5 pick. Defense is always run early. I think he's a good pick for DET as well.

Detroit really needs to draft an impact forward with the 4th overall pick, their future D core looks pretty set already, really hope they don't select Drysdale.

Brutal for Pittsburgh

Detroit will be a lottery team next year, in a defence heavy draft. This year's draft's top 10 is stacked with guys with high offensive hockey IQ, that **** is Yzerman's jam. We can swing on a D or two in the 2nd, and look for our #1 next year in a guy like Power.

Not all of us do. Some just hate the idea of adding another RD since it’s our only position of strength but it definitely holds more trade value than wingers/goalies and not everyone pans out.


Last year seemed like a great forward draft too but Yzerman with Seider. I would’ve loved to have Cozens/Zegras but I’m happy with the selection now. Don’t get me wrong I’d also love to have Raymond, Perfetti, or Rossi if Yzerman/Draper/Hakan are in love with one of them.

Remember, passionate ones don't have playoffs to satiate them, we are ALL prospects and trades right now.
And of course cheering against certain teams winning the lottery.
