Sabres vs the Penguins this year 2 wins 1 loss
Goals for 10 goals against 7. I’m not denying Eichel is fed up but he’s not getting traded for the next 2+ years.

Im just still curious why you brought up empty net goals to try and discredit pittsburghs win. 1. You were wrong. 2. BUFF had an empty net goal in a 1 goal game. Very hypocritical considering you said buffalo "pumped" pittsburgh

He can ask to be dealt and the Sabres don’t have to do anything. He has a 6 year contract, play or retire and don’t get paid. It’s not ideal, but the Sabres don’t trade him for anything less than a king’s ransom and overpayment.

Thats not the point. He said Eichel is not getting traded. Thats extremely naive to say considering how vocal hes been.

No they didn’t Sheary scored twice and Dahlin scored. And in the 2nd game Pittsburgh was already losing 5-2 no point to pull the goalie. But this is irrelevant right now.

Ok fine. He will not be traded unless he asks to be dealt. Even then he will have to wait until a team offers a King’s ransom kind of deal you just can’t say no to. Such a trade wouldn’t even benefit the team getting him, that’s how important he is. Otherwise the only way he gets dealt is 6 years from now on the verge of UFA, assuming he doesn’t sign an extension by then.

If I’m buffalo, I decline. Who’s gonna be there 1C???? Dylan Cozens? Marcus Johansson?

IMO it costs Scheifele + to get Eichel.

Exactly

Solid offer for Eichel. No point in wasting assets for Petry with only 1 year left.

I’m sorry, what?? That’s a horrible offer for Eichel.

Vocal about what? He said he doesn’t like losing. He also said he wants to be a part of the solution and isn’t looking to be traded. Is that the vocal part you’re talking about?

Eichel trades are stupid. Never gonna happen and make no sense. The team is looking to end the drought and be competitive. The fan backlash if they decided to trade Eichel and rebuild AGAIN would be monstrous.

Yes. The part when he said he wants to stay in Buffalo.

Love that you think that someone being tired of losing means he “said” he wants to be traded, but you totally ignore that he actually said that he loves it here and wants to fix this.

Nobody likes losing. I expect the entire team to hate losing. If you don’t, stop playing sports.

Did I ever mention he said he wants to be traded? No. All I said is its naive to say hes never getting traded and has been vocal about losing. What do you expect the guy to say? He hates buffalo and the organization sucks?

Why would he get traded then? Please explain how ownership benefits from trading Jack Eichel and not from building around him? This should be good.

Is your comprehension skills okay? lmao did I say ownership benefits from the trade? They have done close to nothing to build around him, so if it continues that way, why would he stay?

Are you an idiot? He can’t leave. He’s under contract for 5 years. So please, If you’re so smart, explain why Eichel gets traded and how it benefits the organization. I’ll wait

Again, where did I say it benefits the organization? I'll wait. Hes been there for how many years? And they are still in the basement of the NHL. Organization is really doing a great job building around him alright

Your point makes no sense. You can’t answer a simple question. You say it’s naive to say that Eichel isn’t getting traded, but you can’t actually explain how a trade benefits the team. The organization isn’t trading away a superstar because you believe they should.

lol stop putting words into my mouth, because you look stupid. You said "The organization isn’t trading away a superstar because you believe they should." I said there where exactly? If management continues to do nothing and not build around Eichel, you really think hes going to be happy and be quiet about being in the basement?

This is a stupid conversation. The issue isn’t that management hasn’t done anything. It’s that management has been incompetent. Ownership isn’t just sitting on Eichel and refusing to build around him. They spend to the cap every year, but they hired incompetent GM’s to get the job done. Whether or not Eichel is happy, he isn’t getting traded. They’re going to try to build around him again and hopefully get it right this time. If not, that’s a different story. But, any possibility of trading Eichel is at least 2-3 years away
