The Hawks aren't in as much trouble as people think. They'll be able to shed of their players without having to give away the store. DeHaan/Maatta have value. I'm not saying they'll get 1st rounder back at all, but they're not going to have to send assets away either.

Yeah this is mostly a worst case scenario. I like Maatta and Smith but if Seabrook and Shaw are effectively done, but still on the books, it will present problems. I am really sick of trading young players away to solve cap problems, so this was my alternative.

Hawks aren't in as much trouble as people think, but we will need to find a way to shed 4-5 mil most likely. Smith Buyout will save 2.1 mil, then Move one of Maata or Dehaan and one of Cagulla or Shaw. Worst case scenario being buyouts like you did, but I think we could find trade partners
