Honestly in my opinion to get Barkov it starts with Panarin or Zibanejad and then you add.

Rangers very easily decline all 3 trades.

Barkov isn't a good target and that return isn't even in the time zone for Deangelo.

I disagree.
1. Barkov is more valuable as a C that will win a selke or 2 in the future
2. Barkov is better all around.
3. He’s 4 years younger. I’ll take barkov over panarin any day

I disagree Barkov is way ahead of Zibanejad. He’s a top 5 center in the league! If you want Barkov you will have to trade Zibanejad in a package for him.

Its not worth giving up additional assets for the difference of Barkov to Zib. They'll improve elsewhere. A deal for Barkov involving domething like Strome, Deangelo, and Kravtsov would be more worthwhile.

I hear you. He’s an elite transition player and puck mover but I think his offensive numbers will regress to what we saw last year (still very good for the record). I’m just not sure I want to commit long term and money to him granted his suspect defensive play. And I don’t love him on the third pair behind Fox and Trouba (he’s gonna be playing top 4 like it or not). Also not a fan of him moving to the left and blocking K’Andre and others. FO has some important decisions to make this offseason, and if they can trade him to restock our forward prospect group or even get a center to play with Panarin I say they do it. I do admit I undersold him in this proposal...

Seems like the obvious move here is to trade Trouba. Glad we agree. Deangelo's defensive play has been totally fine. He's had to cover Staal's ass so many times.
