Sabres need to pay Olofsson first because if he gets 6 he can make an argument on him making more money considering he had a higher PPG.

This team will only go as far as Crawford will take them. If I'm Chicago I'd let him go this offseason and target Khudobin and/or Georgiev.

I would prefer Crow to Khudobin. Georgiev is interesting but I don't want to give up starting goalie value for him because he's not that yet

Maybe this is just my paranoia from previous contracts we’ve signed, but an 8 year contract just seems like a longggggg time to invest in someone. Especially after seabrook made us pay for that good faith. I don’t mind a long term deal, but I’d prefer 6 years max, preferably 5. Judging off of today though, he would certainly deserve it.

Kubalik is only 24. He will be 32 at the end of an 8 year deal. Seabrook was 30 when he signed and will be 38 when it ends. I think there is a lot less risk in this contract ending badly. We bridged Panarin and ended up having to trade him as a "cap casualty" (although I think we could have made it work), I don't want the same thing happening to Kubalik. Plus the deal could end up being a bargain if he continues to perform like he has

As you ended your statement with, “as long as he continues.” That’s a pretty good way to look at it. I understand he’s only 24, but after one good season and a great playoff game (singular, not plural), I just don’t wanna jump the gun on any more crazy contracts. Bowman allowed Kane, toews, and seabrook a blank check each. Just please think this through and carefully before it’s done again.

Thats not a good comparison to be completely honest. This should help BUF sign Victor too. It means trouble for the Hawks. There are a lot of misperception on kubalik. He only has 4 PP goals in the regular seaaon. Sure he'll get more, but its not like Victor where over 50% of his goals come from the PP. The ceiling is much higher for Kubalik.

yeah, I'm going to make a post shortly about who he is. Theres a lot of misperception on who he is. Why not make an introduction. Good and bad. His 19.1% shooting percentage can't really be sustained.
