The 1 OA pick is just a consolation prize if you lose, I'm sure teams aren't going to deliberately tank (with exception to Montreal) for the pick.

No, Edmonton and Toronto are playoff teams, they don’t deserve to get the 1st overall pick. The only teams that deserve it in the playoffs right now are Montreal, NYR, and Chicago

When the NHL did the Lottery and it was revealed the 8 teams that lose the Q Round would have a 12% chance, I immediately thought of the Oils and Leafs. Neither of them are a bad team and have had amazing picks in the past. IMO the NHL should not allow a team to draft #1 ovr more than 1 in 5 years or something...
