Debrincat is an example, but neither of them will reach the limits of a HOF career like Theo Fleury or Martin St Louis as tiny wingers.

Theo Fleury may have been small but he was one tough, tough hockey player.

I think your comment kinda proves my point a bit about leveling your expectations.

Nic Petan had 121 points in the WHL and was the leagues best player as an 18 YO, he’s also undersized and hasn’t, and probably won’t, do anything in the NHL.

It’s great to have hope, but you should also have a reasonable expectation for a player.

How can you compare Nic Petan to Justin Brazeau? There is no comparison in terms of potential of which player has the real upside.

My apology but still no comparison between Nic Petan and Robertson. Leafs need to trade Petan to another organization which gives him a chance as he can not crack Leafs top two lines and Leafs already have enough undersized forwards.

Wouldn't really compare Petan and Robertson, different people/players, different league now, different player development. Robertsons gonna be a player without a doubt, only question is how good will he be

I’m not really comparing them... all I’m saying is that it’s great to have hope, but manage the expectations. Because if you expect Robertson to come out and have 12 goals in the 1st round and he gets 1 or he gets scratched you’ll be like what’s wrong with him?

I do expect Robertson to score, and score a lot in his career. Though I don’t see him scoring more then Matthews, and I don’t really see him ever being the next Ovechkin.

Have hope, but also have reasonable expectations.

For sure, I'm not a delusional fan who thinks hes gonna be the best player on the team but for the playoffs and next season, he'll likely be a good scoring middle six winger. If not, hes young and can tear up the OHL again next year, no rush. He definitely has the upside of being a really good top 6 guy in the next few years which has led to the overhype

Justin Brazeau is 6 foot 6 and 226 pounds and scored 61 goals and 113 points in 68 games in his last year of OHL junior hockey for the North Bay Battalion. The kid grew up in Northern Ontario and did not have access to year round hockey training and is a late bloomer. He has an NHL shot and tremendous offensive abilities and is now working on improving his skating with Barb Underhill and will be playing on the Marlies next year. He lead all rookies with 27 goals and finished second amount rookies with 55 points in 57 games in the EHL on the Newfoundland Growlers.

He has a big heart and is not afraid of putting in the hard work and really wants to make it as a NHL hockey player and he is going to do everything he can to make the it. He has the potential to be an absolute home run for Dubas and the Leafs regardless of your uninformed opinion.

Many players who played in the OHL have great numbers but that doesn’t always translate to the NHL. He may have a great rookie season but completely fan out. Just calm down a bit and see how he plays against playoff teams. They are going to go much harder than the exhibition games

Robertson didn't have just another "great" season that many players have, he had 55 goals in 46 games. The 3rd highest G/gp in OHL history at that age. One of the players was a consistent 30 goals scorer and hit 40 and 50 more than once and the other was Lindros

Robertson is easily a top 10 pick if he was in this years draft.
