Make the 2nd in the MTL trade the CBJ pick. MTL isn’t trading an early second for Ghost. Even then, I don’t like this for MTL because Kulak is way cheaper than Gostisbehere.

Philly definitely needs to add in the ANA trade! They're getting the 2 best pieces...

Our second best defender and one of our best forwards retained for a cap dump two seconds and a b prospect?

I’d say swap Rubstov for Frost and both seconds for 2020 1st
Even then I’d be eh on it

This post isn't serious
Kulak is better defensively, hit more, win more battles at 1 vs 1
Gost better skater ( Kulak is a really good skater too ) and better offensively
Kulak 1.85M
Gost 4.5M
MTL retained ???
And pay a early 2nd round pick ?

Explain

JVR and Rakell have nearly identical stats over the last two seaons (JVR performing a tad better). Yes his cap hit isn't great but he is far from a dump. I wouldn't mind changing one of the 2nds to a first based off the logic of the trade but Rubstov -> Frost woulnd't happen here IMO. Maybe an additional prospect on top of Rubstov, but not Frost

Ghost doesn't hold the same value he used to, but based on your explanation I think you're undervaluing Ghost by a good amount

That would be interesting, but there would need to be some major cap gymnastics that would have to occur to make that work

Or you are underrating Kulak
Gost isn't the same player
Doesn't worth it to take a change on him at 4.5M

You’re not gonna get the ducks attention unless a top prospect is changed instead of Rubstov or second line winger ( maybe Vorachek since he’s getting older )

Ghostbuster is a cap dump, plain and simple.
Habs pass unless Flyers add a 1st.

I could see a deal being made with Voracek going Anaheims way, but JVR is definitely a second line winger by all descriptions, and I feel like including him over Voracek would force Philly to add better future pieces which is what I assume Anaheim would want.

Sorry for MTL fans stupidity

Sadly some of our fans write everyone off despite the fact our entire roster is basically filled with people that came in here devalued based on Cap vs play. That same roster has found success from Tatar who's been our leading scorer to Chiarot who was said by all to be a product of WPG's system back to Danault who CHI gave up on to early .(there's many more)

Ghost has all the same potential to be a success here in MTL
Playing here will see him find the same success as Petry did IMO

Ghost had an injury then came back to new coaches and a GM

After playing top RD for 1-2 years with Gudas
Then PHI new GM traded Gudas for Niskanen and traded for Braun
With Sanheim and Meyers having their breakout season Ghost never made it back into regular rotation

He's 1/5 D in the league who can play Top Pair RD and LD at over 30 points per season on both sides.
What he offers on PP alone should interest MTL given our RD is heavily stacked PP Leaders in Petry and Weber.

As a Playmaker along with Chariot they should create more then enough space for Weber and Petry

Habs fans should be familiar with both PHI coaches and understand Ghost isnt done he just needs out.
He's easily worth a Kulak who at a Career high might be a #5 D able to play 16 minutes IF and i mean IF PHI is lucky(luckily for MTL that's all PHI needs in a D today)

Kulak can play 20-22 min with Petry easily. Didn’t have a great season last year like 2019-2020 but still good. Gost would play 3LHD with PP time, Gost can’t play 25 min with Weber and Petry need a defensive partner. I don’t see it

The truth with Ghost is that I could guarantee most Philly fans would keep him if possible, the issue is AV only wants lefties on LD, and there is no way Ghost is gonna overtake Provorov or Sanheim at this point, not to mention us being in a very tight cap space scenario. As you mentioned, injuries have been the main problem this season. Even if Ghost could return to 40ish point for that would make him easily a top-4D and well worth his contract
