Description
Following year... Trade Tatar or simply let him go... money for Gally & Danault.
Caufield would take Armia spot...
Romanov would move 2LHD behind Lindholm playing with Petry...

IR= Working on trading one of Byron, Mete, Lehkonen, Armia at TDL to fixed the need in case Petry doesn't come back or simply upgrade the 4th line with cheaper options

True on Caufield, unless there's no NCAA season next year, which is becoming more and more of a possibility.

Re: Lindholm-As a Ducks fan, I'm 60% behind this deal, though I'd prefer either Drouin+Brook+2020 1st, or Drouin+Brook+Poehling+highest of the 2020 2nd round picks. 2021 isn't projected to be a strong draft, and the likelihood of a lot of those draft eligible players missing significant time next year definitely brings the picks value down a ton.

Done-

Drouin+Fleury+Poehling+highest 2nd.

Edit: I'm really surprised Hampus doesn't have any trade protection...Bob Murray gives out NTC's like Jeter gives out gift baskets.

I know... I did this just to show the youth talent coming to MTL... imagine at peak in 2-3years the first line if we get 1-OA= Laffy-Suzuki-Caufield

I would simply prefer any forward from MTL not named Drouin

I can't accept your first preference for our side: Drouin+Brook+2020 1st... simply because 9-OA this year could bring in a Lindholm type of player named Sanderson... so getting all the other asset is too much.
But Yes I agree with a high second 2020 instead =39OA for this draft is better than in 2021.

That's super surprising, though I understand. Habs fans typically take a dump on Drouin on this site, but I appreciate that you like him. I feel like he would benefit from the change of scenery, but to each their own!

That's fair. I'm not crazy high on Sanderson (Though he has good potential!), and LD isn't an area of need for the Ducks even after a Lindholm trade anyway. I think I actually prefer the option with the high second anyway. My fingers are crossed that Drysdale drops to 6 and the Ducks can snag him, though I don't think he makes it past Ottawa at 5. A guy can dream though!

I really like this lineup. Well done. One of the best I’ve seen. It’s amazing what putting Lafreniere in the lineup does. Frees up so many options....I think Lafreniere and Suzuki would have insane chemistry. I’m so high on Suzuki , I think he is a star and I really think AL would complement him so well.

I don't think my Anaheim colleagues fully appreciate Lindholm's value to Montreal as the Canadiens' #1 LD. The 2020 first, Poehling and one of Brook or Fleury is right. I might accept the two youngsters plus the consecutive 2020 seconds.

Yep I do See Ottawa taking him at 5 after going after Byfield at 2-OA as everyone jump that L.A. would take Stutzle

Yeah, I do as well. They already have Branstrom and Thompson coming, but IMO if they can get a excellent C prospect and follow it up with the best defenceman in the draft, they probably do it. I've got my fingers crossed that they go all offence, but the odds aren't great for my Ducklings.

With Fowler, Larsson, Djoos, Mahura... your Left side is OK for many years.. but might need a second pairing RD

Agreed. If (When...) Drysdale is gone, I'd assume they take someone like Raymond or Holtz, and use the Boston pick on someone like Grans.

Dude, a line like that is a line we haven’t had in 2 decades! Would be great to see. Getting AL frees up tons of options.
I would look at making a second line of Drouin - KK - Gallagher
and then a 3rd line of Domi - Danault - Armia.

Tatar becomes tradeable. Or you can keep TT and trade Domi/Drouin ideally for help on defense. Suddenly, defense would look a lot better with another top 4 D + Romanov. Price in nets....wow! Fingers crossed!
