Description

Someone earlier asked the what if these guys get offer sheeted question but didn't really show what it would look like so here it is...
Kubalik 5 x 5.5 mil offer-sheet matched, hawks take the picks for Strome
Holtby contract seems a bit pricy to me but the hawks can afford it for 2 years. Nylander, Kampf and Pius (if he pans out) are the only guys we would have to sign over those two years. Dehaan and Delia are Seattle's only real options so we could just throw them a pick to make sure it's dehaan
If we get Laf then Cagulla isn't brought back, Nylander goes to the right wing and Laf plays left wing with Kane

Buffalo would need to reacquire there 2021 3rd from the Rangers to make that offer sheet. It is doable but they cannot use a 2022 3rd in it's place.

OS could be from any team, BUF just makes some sense. And yeah I know they need their 2021 3rd, just used 2022 as a placeholder

Yeah but not many teams that will have the ability money wise to present that kind of sheet for Strome.

There's only a handful of teams that can take on cap, everyone else is like you, cap strapped. Wsh & CBJ cannot afford those caps and CBJ have like a gazillion forwards. Not that easy...

It's a tough year for teams to offer sheet someone. Also, I think Stan accepts both of those and finds a new home for Saad & Maatta/DeHaan. The cap delta isn't very large and Saad will still be able to get a decent return.

Value wise sure, but the cap hits don’t exactly work and this doesn’t do anything to fill the biggest team need. Tbh if Columbus were to bring in Saad I’d love to see him back with Wennberg as he was part of the line when Wennberg had his 59 point season, maybe could help rekindle the magic.

I just wish you guys would think out the teams offersheeting better.

Caps really need to keep their 1st and 2nds and already have Carlson and Jensen as the top 4 RHD.
