Simply we need to be more competitive. That was super garbage last year. Get a second line centermen to play with and we may be able to compete with the bottom teams. I’d love for Krug to sign, but I feel there is a better chance we sign Krug and Lehner/Holtby. It just sounds like a dream not reality. But maybe Krug wants to be around family and part of he re-build.
Trade deadline bait:
Nemeth
Helm. Hope he sticks around
Cizikas
Bernier or Allen. Bring up Brattstrom or test some others out at the end of the year.
Turris every year... Seattle?
Protection list
Larkin, Mantha, Bertuzzi, Fabbri, Rasmussen, Svechnikov, Timashov/Erne/Helm
Hronek, Pelech, Lindstrom/Dekeyser (depending how Cholo and Bowey play)
Seattle Taking Dekeyser over Turris? Or go younger with Erne, Cholo, Ehn, Smith, Lidstrom like Vegas did. Almost have to protect Dekeyser to give a better chance for Turris to get picked, but the young guys are all, okay to good pieces.
Turris trade gives Nashville a better chance at landing a Dadonov, namestikov, haula type. Also $3M saving for two years and $6M for two more. Making it possible to keep the core and the few young guys around, flexible for trades possibly. For Detroit they get a center that can play second line instead of relying Flip Dawg. Almost banking on Seattle picking him if not trading him wouldn’t be difficult. I think I like trading for bozak and Allen better than pretending st.louis will trade kyrou (if Bozak would want to). (Henrique? Tyler Johnson?) Hirose is a decent replacement for Kyrou by who really knows. Then a Turris deal is irrelevant as it will get in the way in a year or two anyways unless Seattle wants him. Det just needs someone to play center, giving up a pick that I’m sure you can get back from a deadline deal seems like a decent sacrifice. I’m sure velano or Rasmussen can play but it will next year from what I hear. But Turris would be a nice filler for a couple years helping take the pressure off velano to be the second line center off the bat if he sticks around. I also like taking on TJ or Gourde from Tampa, TJ would fit well I think.
Islander deal- if Det trade for A centermen, then we switch this deal up with varlomov instead of Andrew bag of sand. But then getting Pelech in that deal sounds like a stretch. Switch varly and Pelech? Obviously a lot of directions to take and I think the wings have an opportunity to take advantage of making some cheap deals on solid players. They have so many options, I do feel another Tampa trade this offseason is inevitable. Even Edm too. Would not really be able to take on any more salary with the trades I have here, this year yes (maybe take on Steen in the blues trade, I just don’t see him not being a blue) but most contracts are longer that are needing to be shed. Not getting picks here but we will soon enough. Also I think it’s very important to spread your draft picks out year to year. You don’t need 10 picks every year you suck.
Stevie working on Zadina playing in the Czech league I guess.
Really? I would think that Detroit would be the one staying away from that with the Ladd contract? I could be way off on Pelech or Cizikas value though?

Pelech is a top 4 shutdown defenseman, cizikas is an elite 3C
Personally I'm not a fan of the Turris trade. We definitely need to be better and add a 2C but Turris is looking more like an overpayed 3C to me with 4 years left. He might be able to turn it around with more ice time but I'd rather target someone else and let Nielsen play out his contract.
So the Blues give you a starting goaltender who is one of the better goaltenders in the league this year, and their top AHL player for 2 guys that can't even crack the lineup of arguably the worst team in the NHL?

Don't really like this trade for either team. If Detroit's taking on a big contract we should target more future assets while it doesn't make sense for the Islanders to trade roster players when they would be making this move to try and be more of a contender.

Ya. Ya... I just want Kyrou. Name your price!. Take steen instead of Allen? Give u a better prospect then kivenmaki. Hirose has good potential offensively.

Ya hey! It’s a good point. Dobson would have to be ready to fill a big void. But if Sorokin is the next coming of Jesus, who’s needs defensemen lol jk. Trading for Pelech cuz I would trade dekeyser in the future.

Turris ain’t too bad 30 points in 60. 40 point guy, should be able to be around 50 as the second line guy. He’s 30. A distraction for Seattle to pick lol. Nielsen only has that two years left and just looks like he needed change last year. That was tough

Elites a little over the line my man. ****z weakest is a 3rd line center though. Big heart! Pelech value takes over getting Ladd, then I feel like Hicketts is a solid option if not this year next year, as they have cap problems, Glendening is simply a cheaper cizikas. Could take on like Komorov or clutterbuck.
Ill hand over more just unsure what it would take. Want Fabbri back hahaha
I can't for the life of me understand why Armstrong made that trade. It was giving up a roster player for little to nothing in return. It was better for Fabbri and Detroit in the end.

I didn’t want to seem bias. I had no picks in general at the start but thought jeez. Turris ain’t all bad. And maybe gets picked by Seattle
Compare Turris's numbers and age to Neilson's numbers and age line up side by side. It seems to me like they would be doing the exact same thing again. We have 2 seasons left of Neilson at $5.25M per. With Turris it's 4 more seasons at $6M per. I think Detroit is a lot better off biting the bullet keeping Neilson for the next 2 seasons. If not at the end of next season or maybe the one after that we will be having the same discussion about Turris we are currently having about Neilson now.

Ya but De Larose looks and skates like half the other players on the team like Steen and Bozak. They just want him cuz he’s dirt cheap for as long as they want him lol. It’s like he was pimpin the fact they won the cup like.... **** it here ya go.
