Criteria for this list:
1) Would need to be attached with another asset to be moved
2) Are on teams under pressure to clear cap room (so no Bobby Ryan for example)
3) Must be tradeable (no seabrook)
I strongly disagree that half of those players need to be packaged with another asset to move. Retaining can offset over payment and make a lot of these players attractive options. Most of these deals are short term making retaining very viable option. I really really really do think this site has gone way off reality in moving over paid players and expect way tooo much compensation for it.

Well not really. Last year when Dubas had to move out all of Lou's old contracts it cost him a 1st to move Marleau and a good role player in Connor Brown to move Zaitsev.
