Description

So some pretty big trades that would make a lot of buzz.
I think Nylander one the right would be amazing with either Nico or Jack, the signing Hoffman to snipe his silky passes would make for a deadly 1st line. They do lose Severson, which isn't ideal and their defense is suspect. But I went forward focused.
Speaking of defense, I signed Tanev to give them a legit shut down guy that can do what subban can't, defend. But why I really made the severson move was because I had a sneaky trade with the sens in the works. Devils move up to get their RHD of the future once Subban leaves. I think moving back 7 or 8 spots with their Arizona pick and gaining a 4th could be worth ensuring Drysdale.

The sens then go balls out on forwards. I really like Lundell, so that's why I'd be good with it. I also see a top 10 pick for the sens in 2021 where they could nab a good Dman or in the 2nd round of 2020

Youd have to add your 7th overall pick in the Leafs trade if you want to get a conversation started. Severson + Zacha isnt going to cut it even for Nylander alone, let alone adding Dermott on top of that

NJD might need to sweeten that TOR trade (just a little bit).
I think some people may overlook the fact that Severson is a RHD that the Leafs would highly covet.

I can see a scenario where the Leafs fail to make it past the second round and Nylander becomes the piece easiest to move on from.

I'm not sure OTT does this. They'd rather get two top 5 picks. They have loads of 2nd round picks to offer up if they choose to move the Islanders pick up a few spots. It is MUCH COSTLIER to move from 7th to 5th than it is to move from 18th to 15th.
