Description
All the NTC's Yzerman gave these players while GM makes this team very difficult to make moves and signings. Overall I think the team still looks very competitve.

I think all of Sergachev, Cirelli and Cernak get resigns but not at that much of a discount and not for just 1 year. If the take a discount Sergachev likely comes in at 5-5.5 x 3 years. Cirelli takes 5.5-6 x 4 years and Cernak takes 2.5-3 x 3 years. OS will likely be drafted if not signed in the range of Sergachev 6.5-8 x 5 years Cirelli likely the same range maybe as high as 9 Mil x 5 years and Cernak 4.5-5 Mil x 6. So the Bridge deals have to be relatively close to those numbers

McDonagh will be playing 3rd pair minutes in a year in LA too. Bjornfot and Anderson.

You might be right, but the NTC's and NMC clause Yzerman dolled out while GM make it difficult to offer those salaries. Besides that no cap increase next season.

Clague is their best ld prospect, if he progress' he might be a 2nd pairing dman in 2-3 years. If Bjornfot and Anderson can make the jump to the NHL, it won't be for 2-3 years. Besides that LA acquires a 1st round pick as compensation.

That's very inaccurate. Anderson will be in our top 4 next season. He got some games in late this season and proved he can take that on. Bjornfot can start as early as next season but they may keep him in the AHL for one more season.

Clague was pur best LD prospect until Bjornfot. Clague may be a fringe NHL player at best.

As Bf3351 says, that's just plain not true. Both Bjornfot and Anderson have passed Clague on the depth chart. Anderson will probably play 50-60 games in the NHL next year and Bjornfot could as well if the Kings are willing to burn a year of his ELC. They likely won't, but the reason isn't because he's not ready.

That being said, that boat anchor of a contract on McDonagh makes your trade a non starter. To offload 6 years of a $6.75m contract that carries a player into his mid-late 30's won't get you a 2nd round pick in return, nor is only a single 1st good enough from the Kings perspective. He's still a good player, but you aren't going to get rid of that much cap space that easily. Sorry.

The Kings are looking for a LD that is on a one-two year contract able to hold the spot next to Doughty until they are ready to put Bjornfot there full-time. Nothing more than that.

You might be right about those prospects who haven't played a single NHL game or AHL game in their career.

He said TBay "also receives" Buffalo's 1st 2020, which indicates to me that that pick is on top of Kotkaniemi and our 1st in 2020 and 2021.
I'm confused how either we obtained Buffalo's pick to send to Tampa or why Buffalo is sending their 1st in 2020 to help us get Point.

I guess we traded Domi to get Buffalo's first.

Wow Tampa's in bad shape even with dumping McD contract and sending Point away for a RFA on an ELC and 3 draft picks they are still at the cap limit

WTF are you talking about!? All 3 of them have played in the NHL and all 3 have played in the AHL. Anderson will be a full timer next year, bjornfot should but he’ll see time in the A and get called up later in the years and clague wil fight for a spot this year if not he’ll spend it in the A and probably gets called up mid season or so.
