And I think that Kovalchuk will cost much less than that. I assume that he will take a deal that is bonus laden, as it works for both teams (regardless of where he ends up).

See how he is coming back from that shoulder surgery but also see what he wants in contract talks, iv heard he wants 6 million....... if that's the case not many teams will be willing to even take him on

i see this argument thrown around alot and to be totally fair to Anderson.. if the 6 mil is true then theyre probably just trying to highball the org just like everyone does during negotiations. Plus, if he returns to his form for the 3 seasons before this one, he is worth 6mil.

anderson is in such a peculiar spot right now. We (CBJ) need the offense so i think its smart to just hold on to him until the TDL and re evaluate, assuming no GM puts in an insane offer for him
