You think Kraken is a bad name? I think its fantastic and will be mad if they choose anything else. Theyre a port city located right in the middle of 2 teams with deadly sea creatures as their logos, Sharks and Orcas (Vancouver).

want it to be something awful like the Seattle Puddles. It's probably going to be the Kraken, which I hate, but people seem to like.

I like it but at the same time I like it for a beer league team, not an nhl team. its better than Totems or Metropolitans but not as good as Sockeyes imo

Anyone who says Kraken isn't a good team name needs to go rewatch Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Clash of the Titans. Name is epic, is easy to market and is super versatile for design purposes.

That is probably true, it’s definitely a marketable name

I hope if they do choose that name they use a deep purple along with the signature emerald green as their colors, or at least that for the alternative Jersey

I think Kraken would be cool. They could incorporate a chant like “Release the Kraken” as they begin a PP or something like that

I personally don't like "Kraken" for a name. Don't know why, it just sounds stupid to me.

I think it'll be Kraken, but I want the Whalers back. Seattle Whalers sounds cool.

Right? When I made an expansion team on Chel I named them the Seattle Whalers. 1.) Name makes sense 2.) It's a dope name that needs to be brought back

I hate the sockeyes and Totems but I'd be fine with Metropolitans, Kraken, or Steelheads. All are good names and I agree it would be cool to honor the former team.

But of course, that's Seattle's MO. Just like we expected Vegas to do a little extra on the theatrics, the same can be expected of Seattle in trendiness. Since I've gotten used to Vegas being different I think the same will happen to Seattle once they've been around for a couple years.

Why? The Sockeyes sounds like a 5 year old came up with it. And it also kind of gives the impression that your just food for the surrounding teams like Coyotes, Canucks (who's logo is a killer whale) and Sharks. At least Kracken is a name the is associated with a predatory creature to fear.
