That trade makes no sense for OTT. Josh Norris is a great prospect for them. He killed it in the AHL. They are rebuilding so they aren't going to give up their young assets they got from you initially. Also, Strome won't sign that low.

This would be a hard one for OTT. Josh Norris isn't just a valuable prospect, he's best buddies with Brady Tkachuk. I realize that sounds ridiculous but I believe it was one of the reasons OTT asked to have him included in the Karlsson deal. But Meier is a player I would love to have. IF SJS were actually looking to move him, which I can't imagine since he's 23, OTT would certainly have the picks/assets to get the deal done. NYI 2020 1st, NYI 2020 2nd, SJS 2020 2nd, Abramov, Wolanin, Lajoie?

Ohhhh damn that’s a fair offer but honestly this trade was a fan trade more than a logical one for me I loved Tiereny and was sad to see him go and I knew what we had with Norris.
This trade in my head was a quantity vs quality one. Typically for a stud young player with term at a fair value a team will give up a good player a very good prospect and a 1st
I just wanted to recoup some of the pieces back from the Karlsson trade and OTT is looking at a playoff window and cup contention in 3-4 years right when Meir hits his true prime I figured this was good for both teams.

I'm not against Tierney being part of the deal since OTT is bound to get Byfield or Stutzle with pick #3, but Norris just isn't a piece they're going to part with right now. That's my belief anyway.
How about NYI 202 1st, NYI 2020 2nd, SJS 2021 2nd, Tierney and Tychonick (rights to)?
