Alright, so in this scenario the Wings decide to just throw all of the money at Krug and Lehner to save the franchise. To get Krug away from Boston they'd really need to pay him.

Mantha gets bumped up to Larkin's amount, maybe even a bit more than him would be necessary. I think Bertuzzi somewhere in the 5 mil range seems right. Fabbri gets a bridge deal.

Entice Minnesota to take Helm with some draft picks (maybe some higher picks?). Take Rask in return as he has not really produced since he's been there and that contract doesn't look great for them right now. Helm isn't great but the Wild would only have him for a year at worst. I think Rask is the type of player Detroit should take a risk on. Minnesota fans tell me if you guys aren't ready to give up on Rask.

Colorado might not be able to keep everyone so if Namestnikov is available they should target him. They could give him more money than the Avs can at the moment I think. He could be that second line center for the Wings (or maybe move Fabbri to center).

I buried Abdelkader and Nielsen in Grand Rapids. They are unmovable and just do not fit anywhere. Maybe they could mentor the young guys down there.

Figured since Markus Granlund was in Bakersfield the Oilers might not keep him around. Brought him in solely because he is younger than Gagner and who knows, maybe he'd do okay in Detroit.

Wings will definitely give Veleno a shot at some point. Seider looks ready to be a full-time NHLer. Bernier, Granlund, Glendening, Filppula, and Biega could all be trade bait at the deadline.
